Time to change your furnace filter?

Have you checked your furnace filter lately? It may need replacing. Filters help remove, dust, pollen, and other particles from the air so they don’t damage your furnace’s heating coil and fan; and removing these particles helps your furnace operate more efficiently, which saves you money on your fuel bills.
Replacing your filter is easy. Simply locate the filter compartment on your furnace, pop off the door, slide the old filter out, and slide the new one in. Many newer model furnaces shut off when you open the door as a safety precaution, but if yours doesn’t, you should turn the furnace off either at the thermostat or breaker, so it doesn’t kick on while you’re replacing the filter. Make sure the arrow on the new filter points in the same direction as the arrow on the old filter. This is the direction in which the air flows through your unit. Your furnace manufacturer will recommend how often you should change the filter, but you should still check it monthly just to see if it’s dirty. Have any questions?
